There is STILL so much to do on the Outer Banks from now until fall!! So much FUN!!

7th Annual Outer Banks Watermelon Festival – August 8thThe Outer Banks Watermelon Festival is one of the most unique festivals in the area. Lots of fun for the family like the splash tank, moon bounce, inflatable obstacle course, ice cream eating contest, face painting, lots and lots of watermelon and of course watermelon seed spitting contest!

Kitty Hawk Kites staff will be on site teaching kids how to use juggling sticks, balance boards, and letting them try out all of our top selling toys.

There will be great music, food and all proceeds go to Wright Flight of NC, our local non-profit awards 5th graders who do very well academically, with flight and much more!

Outer Banks Pirate Festival – August 23rd to 26th

Celebrate Pirate History of the Outer Banks – home of the Mid-Atlantic Graveyard! Learn all about Pirate Code, history and watch a little pirate flight. Enjoy Pirate facepainting and see if you can make it as a pirate apprentice, complete a Treasure Map – there’s even Scallywag School!! The weekend will bring out the Pirate in everyone!

2nd Annual Outer Banks Bluegrass Festival – October 4th – 6th

Tickets are on sale and going fast for our 2nd Annual Outer Banks Bluegrass Festival – last year they sold out very fast. This is yet another fabulous weekend of family fun on the Outer Banks. Three days filled with “down home cookin’ and good ole Southern pickin’”. The Bluegrass Bus Museum will be here on Saturday, October 5thhttp://www.bluegrassbus.com/ .

2nd Annual Outer Banks Seafood Festival – October 19th

Both Friday and Saturday will be on the 10 acre soundfront Windmill Point site in Nags Head. Almost 20 local restaurants will be offering their favorite fare with fish and seafood caught along the Outer Banks. You can also enjoy top entertainment, storytelling, cooking demonstrations, local art and crafts, and much more family fun!
